Job Posting – Part time Shop Assistant

Join our growing company! We offer a casual fun working atmosphere with an enthusiastic team. Most of our team members have been with Denbow for many years, growing into new opportunities over their employment.

We are currently hiring a part-time Shop Assistant.

This person’s duties will include

  • Assisting our mechanic weekday evenings in our shop with regular maintenance and projects
  • Fuelling equipment
  • Truck washing & detailing on Saturdays

The expected hours are from 4pm to 8 pm weeknights (four days per week) and 7:30am to 3:30pm on Saturdays.

The person suited to this position is one who is mechanically inclined and enjoys working with heavy duty equipment. This person must be able to work safety around heavy equipment and be able to work in all types of weather. High school and college students are welcome to apply.

The start date for this position is June 23.

Black Mulch at IMW Industries

This morning a couple of our crews started early installing beautiful rich Black Coloured Mulch just down the road from our yard at IMW Industries.  Starting early allowed us to complete much of the installation before the first shift employees arrived, requiring use of the parking lot.  We’ll complete the project tomorrow morning early!

SYNOPSIS

Job Posting: Blower Truck Operator

We have hired internally for the previously posted position of B-train trailer driver.  As a result, we are now looking for the right candidate to fill the position of Blower Truck Operator.

Denbow is hiring a Class 1 Blower Truck Operator

Job Summary:
Driving & operating a Blower truck through the Fraser Valley. Start & finish from Abbotsford daily, home every evening.

The work consists of 45% of driving/loading. Approximately 55%  is spent on poultry farms in the Fraser Valley delivering and unloading sawdust.

Must enjoy working in a team environment and can work long hours as required.

Core Competencies
Backing up, turning,  unhooking, tarping, etc

Wheel loader operation
Physically fit – able to climb ladders & scrape trailer floors
Clean drug test upon hire & random testing

Able to read maps and a good understanding of the Fraser Valley truck routes.

May Day Event

Tonight is our annual May Day employee get-a-way!  During our busy season, Denbow treats employees to a well-deserved break.  We call it May Day… employees and their significant other are invited for an overnight retreat to refresh.  This year we are going to stay at the Delta Vancouver Inn and Suites, having dinner at 131Water and breakfast at the Manhattan Restaurant.  It’s a fun time together and a nice break for everyone.  This weekend is always enjoyed as a wonderful perk that we’re all very grateful to Bill & Joanne for their generosity every year.
