The Story of Stuff Project
/in Environment, Processing /by Dean RichardsHave you heard about The Story of Stuff video?
“The Story of Stuff Project’s journey began with a 20-minute online movie about the way we make, use and throw away all the Stuff in our lives.
We have a problem with Stuff. We use too much, too much of it is toxic and we don’t share it very well. But that’s not the way things have to be. Together, we can build a society based on better not more, sharing not selfishness, community not division.”
At Denbow, our services include recycling many different wood waste products that would otherwise likely be burned or fill landfills. We use the materials we produce on various erosion and sediment control projects. These applications save our soil from erosion and reduce sediment runoff in our water. We believe that our “innovating naturally” solutions help us be better stewards.
Take the time to watch The Story of Stuff video… it will make you think!

Denbow manufactures PlayChips to keep kids safe!
/in Landscape, Processing /by Dean RichardsHow can you tell that the nice weather has arrived and people are ready to get out and play? The orders are coming in for fresh Denbow Playchips. Kids are busy playing and we keep them safe if they fall – our certified PlayChips are used in backyards, schools and parks.
Under blue skies and sunshine this morning, Andre and Jamie got busy running their machines in tandem to produce another fresh round of Playchips. It all starts with some nice pine, fir or spruce mill-ends.
We move it through our specific process to become the perfect product to help keep children safe on your play structure. Our PlayChips are manufactured to a rigid specification, and certified for fall attenuation.
Call us to place your order – we deliver or blow it in! Or, come on by our Chilliwack yard to pickup a load.
Denbow is proud to be helping keep our community kids safe.
