Since March 2017 we have been working with Horizon Landscape Contractors on the Parq Vancouver project.  This beautiful new building located beside BC Place at 39 Smithe Street & Pacific Boulevard features a stunning rooftop park, “The Parq”.

www.parqvancouver.com states:  “The heart of Parq Vancouver is the 30,000 square foot, sixth-floor park designed by renowned landscape artist Christopher Phillips of PFS Studio. Creating a one-of-a-kind, communal experience for guests and locals, this elevated green space rises to greet Vancouver’s natural skyline, offering unparalleled views of the city.  The roof garden is a multi-use facility, highlighting the terrain of the British Columbian topography and serving as the backdrop for outdoor dining at the Victor and D/6 Bar & Lounge. It is a place to enjoy a walk and take in the view, or as a convertible event space, for social or corporate gatherings. The Parq was designed to reconnect people to their surroundings and each other. It is intended to be an interactive, inspiring, energizing, and playful green space at the heart of Parq Vancouver. It’s the epicenter where Vancouver comes to life.”

Developed by Paragon Gaming, the project was built to LEED Gold standards by general contractor Ellis Don Tishman.  In addition to The Parq, the multi-use urban resort boasts:

Denbow was brought in by Horizon to blow soil, peagravel and mulch throughout the site.  Soil and mulch were blown into the multiple planter boxes and natural areas on floors 3, 4 and 6 as well as ground level.  Setting up the hoses was particularly tricky on this project, given all the glass windows and features.  But with a “can-do attitude” and perseverance, we set a new record for blowing peagravel – 125 feet vertical hose + 280 feet across The Parq!

We are so proud of our excellent rooftop crew for their expertise and hard work completing multiple successful setups and installations over the last 14 months.
